Structure
The object structure is hierarchical: general settings are managed at the level of the Object Group and are transferred to a lower level when creating a subordinate type. Further refining becomes possible on the Type map and the Object map.
Following settings are set at the Group level:
- Link with general ledger accounts through booking groups
- Link with Fixed Assets (FA-category, Depreciation Book, FA-booking group and the number of years of depreciation)
- Link with Service Management
- Capacity Budget (can be determined on a monthly basis)
- Rental specific settings (calendar - invoicing days - rental/hour)
- Rental+ offers the following reporting options at group level:
Costs
o total cost/discounts
o drill down to individual objects
o direct link to purchase orders / receipts / invoices
Sales
o Total sales
o Total profit
o Allowed discounts
o Direct link to sales orders / send notes / invoices
Rental
o Overview revenue out of rental activities for this year, last year and on a lifetime basis
o Rental costs (lease, purchase, transport, ...) this year, last year and on a lifetime basis
o The number of rental days versus those invoiced this year, last year and on lifetime basis
Service
o Service revenue this year, last year and on a lifetime basis
o Maintenance contracts this year, last year and on a lifetime basis
o Service costs this year, last year and on a lifetime basis
o Direct link to current service orders
On the Type map all group settings are inherited, which does not take away the possibility to adjust the settings at this level. At type level, the user can link other object types, sales articles, resources or general ledger accounts so he can create composite objects. For example, a truck (= a rental item) can be linked to a driver (= resource). When preparing a quotation the user can decide which components, ranging from driver to key and manual, should be added. On the type-card there is provided a direct link to the availability calendar in which the current rental orders managed. Furthermore, at type level charges specifically linked to the delivery or the return of an object, can be added. This allows to determine petrol costs afterwards and to charge an insurance at the start of a contract. If desired, prices can already be established at type level and this as well for a customer, a customer group, as for all customers or for a campaign. Moreover, the user can choose out of an extended spectrum of possibilities per level: single prices, staggered prices, cascading prices, price conditions, validity dates, ...
Rental+ is a complete solution and also provides the following functions:
