Route Control
The route results can be by the planner at any time thanks to the Route Tracking module. The trip data of each ride, can be retrieved and modified quickly. This gives the planner an overview of:
- Loading and unloading operations
- Planned and actual delivery times
- Used material
- Staff
- Route status
- Route costs
Within TMS there is by default a graphic planning book available. The plan book provides a graphic overview of the trips that have been scheduled already per vehicle, cargo unit and driver. Moreover the planner can schedule trips directly and can assign equipment and drivers to specific partial rides.
With this graphic planning book you can zoom into different clear detail screen. The standard features of Navision offer the planner the possibility to display his screen as he desires. Once a (partial) journey is released for conduction it is possible to process all returning messages on scheduled route activities immediately via on board computer systems. Return messages contain information relevant to your planning department, so they can inform your customers about the status of the shipments.
