Handsome software for handsome collections at D&M Deco

D&M Deco from Aartselaar distributes its own collections in glass and pottery as a wholesaler of decorative items. The company experienced strong growth and opened an office in Hong Kong. The old DOS-based business system, which had been developed by one person, had to be replaced by a future-oriented platform that could offer full integration of the financial and logistical processes.

Besides the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with iFacto Distri+ and an integrated webshop, a mobile application was set up that allows D&M Deco employees to enter orders at trade fairs. In this way, they can fully focus on centralisation and efficiency for optimal logistics and administrative operations.

A key factor in this choice of new software, was an upgradeable solution to replace the current customised scanning software in the warehouse. Distri+ provides the answer with an integrated scanning solution.
The complexity of creating new collections with an extensive number of product features is typical for decorative wholesalers. Thanks to the Distri+ Article Importer, new assortments can be imported using one detailed template, making it considerably easier.

For the follow-up of overseas goods, Distri+ container planning is used. This ensures a clear status follow-up of the container, as well as a simplified reception process upon arrival, which makes the logistics processing at inbound efficient and results in faster availability of the goods to the end customer.
The packing process was automated with the Pack 'n Ship functionality, which also controls the direct connection with their main carrier GLS.
