In the fight against invoice fraud, e-invoicing will become mandatory from Jan. 1, 2026, between all Belgian companies.
Electronic invoicing are invoices sent via the Peppol network. Unlike PDF invoices, these are fully digital files prepared according to the UBL standard, an international standard for business documents.
Since the Peppol network, is a secure and closed network, it consists of approved Access Points between which digital files, such as invoices, can be sent securely. To connect to such an Access Point, you must be affiliated with an approved Peppol service provider.
Neither Microsoft nor iFacto will provide additional functionality in NAV or Navision for export or import of e-invoices. In the latest version of Business Central and Distri+ this is made possible.
To still comply with electronic invoicing, iFacto is partnering with Mechelen-based partner Soluz.io. Soluzio has its own solution to retrieve and send invoices via the Peppol network and vice versa.
Soluzio will introduce itself during an online webinar on Thursday, Nov. 28.
Microsoft has provided an e-documents framework for sending and receiving e-invoices. Service providers can be plugged into this framework.
iFacto has selected a number of preferred partners to work with. This collaboration provides that the connection to these partners will be provided in Distri+. This means that all customers already using a Distri offering will receive these extra connectors for free. An online webinar will be organized in December where more explanation will be given.
If you already have questions, please feel free to forward them to einvoicing@ifacto.be.
We can then take these into account during this webinar.
