Directions EMEA 2024, innovations within D365 Business Central

Our colleagues from both iFacto Belgium and iFacto Netherlands attended Directions EMEA 2024 last week, which focused on the latest developments within Dynamics 365 Business Central and the broader Business Applications suite. With a wide range of sessions, inspiring keynotes and engaging networking moments, they came back with valuable insights that have a positive impact on our customers and our platform.

Some of their key findings include:

  • Powerful platform integration: Microsoft is making great strides to further integrate Business Central with the entire Business Applications Suite, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dynamics CRM Sales. For customers making the move to the cloud, this opens the door to a powerful, integrated experience within the Microsoft platform.
  • AI, Copilot and Agents as business enablers: Copilot's role will increase significantly in business process optimization within Business Central. In particular, the upcoming release of the Sales Agent in December offers promising opportunities, especially for our customers in distribution. These agents can perform tasks autonomously and react to events, resulting in efficient management of sales orders. “Once there was a Copilot - now there are Agents!”
  • New D365 Business Central features: During the event, Microsoft introduced new modules such as sustainability, ESG reporting and out-of-the-box Power BI reports across different business areas (financial, sales, inventory and production).
  • Copilot Studio: Copilot has a full presence in Business Central with new features and tools such as Copilot Studio, which allows partners to create their own Copilot solutions to support users in their daily tasks.
